Sunday Night Ultimate Frisbee League

Santa Barbara City Parks & Recreation Department, Santa Barbara City College and Santa Barbara Youth Ultimate announce the formation of an adult Ultimate Frisbee league, designed for both experienced players and those who want to learn about the fastest growing team sport in the world.

League games will be played Sunday night on SBCC’s La Playa Stadium turf field starting January 19, 2020.  Teams will play a 45 – 50 minute long game once a week for a total of 12 games.

The League is open to women and men, experienced players and newcomers alike.  Teams will be matched so that everyone will have a meaningful experience at playing this great game.   Each week will include a clinic, taught by professional Ultimate players, so new players can learn the fundamentals of the game and experience players can hone their skills

Besides a great workout, playing Ultimate is a unique sport that fosters a great sense of community.  Even at the highest level of play, players make their own calls on the field.  This level of personal responsibility and respect for your fellow players, creates a bond that you will share with Ultimate players around the world.

To sign up, go to the Santa Barbara Youth Ultimate web page, sbyouthultimate.org and click the “League Signup” button.  Or you can sign up at the stadium.  The cost is $30 for a 12 game season.  All college students, with valid student ID are free.
