Tea With Ganna, Pearl & Beatrice

MORE Theater/SB has announced its site-specific productions for 2025 starting in March with Tea with Ganna, Pearl & Beatrice performed at two famous gardens in Ojai and Santa Barbara.  Written and directed by MORE Theater/SB artistic director, Meg Kruszewska, it is based on biographies and historical documents about how these three famous local women made a lasting impact on their communities. The cast includes well-known local actors Ann Dusenberry and Kathy Marden. Kruszewska’s adaptation brings them back to their beloved gardens to check on their legacies and to enjoy the world just one more time. Audience members join them for an afternoon tea as they reflect on their colorful lives. Talk of love, politics, clothes, art, and money reveal their deeper motives, and why they were often misunderstood.

Two locations have been chosen for the play which will be staged outdoors in the natural beauty of the surrounding mountains in Santa Barbara and Ojai gardens. March 5-9 performances will take place in Ojai at the Beatrice Wood Center for the Arts and March 12-13 shows will be staged at Aloes in Wonderland Private Botanic Garden in Santa Barbara. Ticket prices include tea service, and audience members are encouraged to come earlier or stay after the show to enjoy the grounds.
