MORE Theater/SB brings their latest site-specific production of Tea with Ganna, Pearl & Beatrice to Santa Barbara. Written and directed by MORE Theater/SB artistic director, Meg Kruszewska, it is based on biographies and historical documents about how these three famous local women made a lasting impact on their communities. The cast includes well-known local actors Ann Dusenberry, Meredith McMinn, and Kathy Marden.
Kruszewska’s play brings them back to their beloved gardens through the voice of a young writer played by Alaina Dean who is seeking to understand current events. Audience members join them for an afternoon tea as they reflect on their colorful lives. Talk of love, politics, clothes, art, and money reveal their deeper motives, and why they were often misunderstood.
The Santa Barbara location is the private gardens of Aloes in Wonderland for four performances only on April 2, 3, 4, 6 at 4pm. Ticket prices include tea service. This is an outdoor event.
