PRESS RELEASE

SANTA BARBARA, CALIFORNIA – October 2026 At a moment of accelerating technological change, questions about humanity’s future have become increasingly urgent.

Where are we going? What are we becoming? And what might a deeper examination of the past reveal about the path ahead?

For October’s Third Friday Art Walk, Legacy Art Santa Barbara presents a special exhibition and research presentation of the Aztlan Artifact Collection, in collaboration with Harmonic Research Group.

The evening brings together scientific research, cultural history, material analysis, and artistic inquiry to examine a privately held collection of unusual artifacts associated with Aztlan.

Trevor Hawke, Founder of the Harmonic Research Group, will present research based upon more than eight years of investigation. His presentation will be followed by a Q&A and an intimate viewing of selected artifacts from the private collection.

Questions that might be answered:

What can the materials tell us?

What has laboratory analysis revealed about how they were made?

And how might a deeper understanding of ancient materials, technologies, and cultural histories reshape the stories we tell about the past and inform our future?

The evening is designed as a space for thoughtful inquiry  bringing researchers, artists, collectors, cultural thinkers, and members of the public into conversation.

ABOUT THE EXHIBITION

We are living through a period of profound technological, cultural, and ecological change.

Much of the conversation about the future moves between extraordinary possibilities and predictions of collapse. Legacy Art proposes another question:

What if looking more deeply at what came before can help us understand where we are going?

Human history is continuously revised through new archaeological discoveries, material evidence, geological records, and scientific techniques.

The Aztlan Artifact Collection offers an opportunity to explore that process of discovery firsthand.

The exhibition invites curiosity, examination, and participation in an open conversation about history, technology, and culture.

ABOUT TREVOR HAWKE

Trevor Hawke is a scientist whose interdisciplinary work spans material science, laboratory research and archaeology.

His early involvement with Torus Tech, a research and development organization founded by Nassim Haramein, introduced him to the collection known as the Aztlan artifacts.

For more than eight years, Hawke has participated in archaeological investigation and independent laboratory analysis of objects within the collection, examining their physical composition, construction, and material properties.

His research publication, “Prehistoric Artifacts of Mesoamerica: Anthropological Evidence of ET Paleocontact,” explores the collection’s origins, including findings about unusual material compositions and radiocarbon measurements of selected artifacts.

At Legacy Art Santa Barbara, Hawke will present the research and methodologies surrounding the collection while inviting questions about the evidence, its interpretation, and areas requiring further investigation.

ABOUT HARMONIC RESEARCH GROUP

Harmonic Research Group is a research and development organization dedicated to the application of geopolymer technologies in civil infrastructure, archaeology, and environmental restoration.

Its work explores the relationship between ancient materials knowledge and contemporary technological applications.

Through archaeological research, independent laboratory analyses, and institutional collaboration, Harmonic Research Group investigates historical construction methods and material technologies while exploring their relevance to modern infrastructure and environmental challenges.

The organization is also developing technologies intended to address environmental pollution and ecological restoration.

At its core, Harmonic Research Group seeks to connect historical insight with future-focused material innovation.

ABOUT LEGACY ART Santa Barbara

Art • Music • Nature • Science • Culture

Legacy Art SB is a cultural platform dedicated to the intersection of art, music, nature, science, and human inquiry.

Rooted in California and informed by local and global perspectives, Legacy Art SB presents exhibitions, intimate salons, performances, and participatory experiences bringing together artists, researchers, musicians, collectors, scientists, and curious minds.

Legacy Art begins with a simple proposition:

When happens when knowledge moves beyond intellectual study and becomes something we can encounter directly?

What becomes possible when art, science, and human experience come together?

Some of the most consequential questions of our time cannot be explored through a single lens.

How can different disciplines open new ways of understanding our past, present, and future?

Legacy Art SB creates a setting for a meeting of these worlds.

Its mission is to bring art, music, sound, and science together, creating experiences that awaken curiosity, and inspire discovery.

ABOUT CRISPIN BARRYMORE

Crispin Barrymore is a musician, composer,  collector, and convener whose creative practice explores transformation, consciousness, wellness, and human connection.

Through Legacy Art, Barrymore expands that practice into a broader cultural platform where artists, scientists, musicians can interact.

Legacy Art functions through exhibitions, salons, and immersive experiences designed to encourage sustained inquiry and exchange.

The platform returns repeatedly to several questions:

How does perception shape the worlds we create?

How might art and science illuminate one another?

What can history and the natural world teach us about the future?
