In The Blue Blind Spot: The Most Important Infrastructure Project That No One Is Funding, Sea League founder and executive director Chris Ragland explores why access to the ocean should be viewed as essential public infrastructure.
Drawing on Sea League’s work with youth and coastal communities, Ragland will examine how connection to the sea can inspire stewardship, strengthen coastal resilience, support workforce development, and help shape the future of the blue economy.
The talk will also highlight the Santa Barbara Channel and consider what becomes possible when people have the opportunity to experience, understand, and care for the ocean firsthand.
