The Book Loft’s 50th Anniversary Celebration

50th Anniversary Weekend – November 20, 21 & 22, 2020

We are pleased to announce our 50th Anniversary Celebration. Beginning Friday, November 20th through Sunday, November 22nd, The Book Loft will offer special discounts on select items, a historical display of the store’s past 50 years, and various fun events for the whole family. Friday, November 20

• 4:00 PM Anniversary Celebration Kickoff – Solvang Councilperson Robert Clarke will present a special banner to our owner Kathy Mullins. All in attendance will be invited to participate in a toast to our 50 years in business.

• 4:30 to 5:00 PM Music at Sunset – Local musicians will perform in the courtyard in front of the building.

Saturday, November 21

• 10:00 AM Unveiling of The Book Loft Gingerbread House – created by the Solvang Bakery.

• 1:00 to 2:00 PM Meet the Little Mermaid – Hans Christian Andersen’s tale come to life, the Little Mermaid, will be in our courtyard taking photos and giving away balloons.

• 4:00 to 5:00 PM Music at Sunset – Local musicians will perform in the courtyard in front of the building.

Sunday, November 22

• 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM Meet the Snow Queen – Hans Christian Andersen’s tale come to life, the Snow Queen, will be in our courtyard taking photos and giving away balloons.

• 2:00 to 3:00 PM Make Your Own Bookmark – Create your own special 50th Anniversary
