The CommUNITY Yoga Project is a donation-based, all-day yoga festival focused on education and action for Black lives. This hybrid virtual and outdoor event invites you to dig deeper into the realities of racial injustice and mobilize for lasting social change.
This event consists of 8 classes over the course of the day hosted by 5 Santa Barbara yoga studios. Classes will offer a variety of experiences with the intention of embodying the internal and external work it takes to create a more equitable world. Most importantly, there will be 3 social-justice workshops facilitated by local Black leaders highlighting the ways we, as a community, can cultivate lasting change.
For a $30 minimum donation, event participants will get access to all 11 classes and workshops!
All proceeds for The CommUNITY Yoga Project will be donated to the festival’s co-collaborators – Santa Barbara Young Black Professionals and Santa Barbara Healing Justice – to support their organizing and advocacy work within our local community.
Participating yoga studios: Divinitree, Yoga Soup, SB Yoga Center, SB Yoga Collective, SB Beach Yoga, Corepower SB.
