With their debut EP Life and Life Only, The Heavy Heavy quickly carved out a space for themselves with a warm, soulful take on rock & roll that feels timeless rather than retro, earning sold-out shows, major festival slots, and comparisons to classic acts like Fleetwood Mac and The Rolling Stones. Written by co-founders Georgie Fuller and William Turner and largely recorded in Turner’s Brighton studio, their long-awaited debut album One Of A Kind expands that foundation into something bolder and more expansive, trading Laurel Canyon folk-rock sweetness for groove-heavy, British-rooted swagger inspired in part by Goats Head Soup. Across the record, lush harmonies, driving rhythms, and rich instrumentation fuel songs that feel big, celebratory, and emotionally alive—from sunlit psych-pop and slinky love songs to hazy big-beat grooves and cinematic slow-burn closers. Grounded in feel-good energy and a deep connection with their audience, One Of A Kind captures The Heavy Heavy at their most confident: making music that moves bodies, lifts spirits, and invites listeners into a shared, joy-filled dreamworld.
