Buena Onda Empanadas
The Rhythm Industrial Complex (TRIC) returns to Buena Onda on Saturday, August 22 at 7 p.m. for an evening of live music, dancing, and some of Santa Barbara’s best Argentine food.
TRIC plays percussion-driven world music built for the dance floor, bringing together influences from across Africa, the Caribbean, Europe, and the Americas. The band’s repertoire includes 1970s Nigerian and Ghanaian afrobeat, Cabo Verdean pop, Afro-Cuban Orisha music, Jamaican reggae, and American and British funk, along with other rhythm-heavy traditions from around the world.
Buena Onda provides the perfect setting for the night, with a relaxed atmosphere and a menu centered on Argentine specialties — especially its handmade empanadas. Grab some food and a drink, settle in, or make some room to dance when the band gets going.
