The Santa Barbara Centre for Aerial Dance returns to the Lobero Theatre with the debut of their newest, evening-length aerial dance works unveiled in three acts.
La Escalada (the climb) distills the power and beauty of this ancient art form into a fresh melange of kinetic movement that transitions seamlessly from floor to air. Part dance theatre and part performance art, this breathtaking production will feature abstractions and compositions on trapeze, corde lisse, lyra, and aerial fabrics set to a heady soundtrack of strings and percussion.
