The Santa Barbara Jazz Society is proud to present trumpet virtuoso, Carl Saunders with his quartet in concert on Sunday, June 16 at SOhO from 1 to 4pm. Saunders is well regarded as one of the best trumpet players around today. He has also worked with John Williams and the big bands of Gerald Wilson and Bob Florence as well as leader of his own big band.
Jazz Society members may remember Saunders appearing at SOhO with Johnny Mandel’s big band and also last year with the Phil Norman Tentet. Joining Carl for his upcoming appearance are pianist Sam Hirsh, bassist Dave Stone, and Kevin Kanner on drums.
