Free Online Course for Older Adults–Four Weeks.
Using psychological paradigms, this course draws upon ancient world mythology to explore the healing power of music from ancient times applied to the present. Older adults participate in experiential exercises to discover how music is connected to healing, memory, self-esteem, and creativity. As an example, students consider why a traditional instrument of healing, the harp, can be used for therapeutic purposes today to help restore peace and balance to the body-mind connection in these challenging times.
