Learn to make a book with a single sheet of paper! Originating in the punk and fan culture of the seventies, zines (or mini-magazines) are a sort of short, self-published book that come in a wild array of forms and subjects. This fast, simple and versatile book form is a great way to display your thoughts and creative  experiments, including collage, comics, creative writing, poetry, journaling, and random thoughts. It’s also a great toe-dip into the world of bookmaking.

Students will view various zines and learn techniques such as the classic o-cut, the t-cut, and the c-cut, and create their own stories based on truth or lies.  Ages 12 and up
