UCSB Arts & Lectures presents DakhaBrakha on Thursday, October 6th at 8:00 pm at The Granada Theatre.

From Kyiv, DakhaBrakha creates a world of unexpected new music, weaving ancient Ukrainian folk melodies into a subversive musical tapestry that embraces indie rock, pop, hip hop, the avant-garde and traditional instrumentation from around the world. At the crossroads of folklore and theater, DakhaBrakha has honed an evocative musical approach that “brings a beguiling blend of music from an anguished nation” (The Boston Globe). Prepare yourself for a sonic feast that celebrates the spirit and determination of Ukraine.

Also: Arrive early for UkraineFest, a free pre-show cultural celebration in front of the theater featuring craft displays, short music and dance performances, a custom “sunflower” cocktail at The Good Lion and more. (Details below)
