Experience the 2026 UCSB Summer Carillon Recital Series, with three free performances featuring a wide range of original works for carillon and arrangements of well-known classical and popular tunes. UCSB’s Storke Tower and its carillon were a gift from Thomas Storke, former publisher of the Santa Barbara News-Press. The instrument consists of 61 bells cast by Petit & Fritsen of the Netherlands, with the bells weighing anywhere from 18 pounds to 2.5 tons, and spanning five octaves.
Sunday, July 12 | 2 pm | UCSB Storke Tower
Wesley Arai (UCSB University Carillonist) and students from the UCSB Carillon Studio will present a recital of solo works and duets, covering a wide range of original works for carillon and arrangements of well-known classical and popular tunes.
Sunday, July 19 | 2 pm | UCSB Storke Tower
Junrui Liu (UCSB Student Carillonist) will present a special solo recital on the Storke Tower Carillon.
Sunday, August 9 | 2 pm | UCSB Storke Tower
UC Santa Barbara University Carillonist Wesley Arai will present a recital of original works for carillon, plus arrangements of classical and modern favorites created specifically for carillon.
