Undergraduate vocalist Terra Giddens (mezzo-soprano) will present a virtual recital with pianist Erik Lawrence on Sunday, December 6, 2020 at 4 pm as a YouTube Premiere via the Department of Music’s YouTube channel. The program will include works by Georges Bizet, Manuel de Falla, Kurt Weill, Hector Berlioz, Stefano Donaudy, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, and Richard Strauss. Giddens is a student of UC Santa Barbara Associate Professor Dr. Isabel Bayrakdarian.

About the Artist
Terra Giddens is a music major at the University of California, Santa Barbara where she has been a student in Dr. Isabel Bayrakdarian’s voice studio for the past four years. She has also been in the chorus of several UCSB opera productions including Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro, Lehár’s Juxheirat, and has starred as Lucinda in UCSB Opera Outreach’s production of Lucinda y las flores de la nochebuena by Evan Mack. In addition, she has sung in the chorus of Opera Santa Barbara’s production of Manon by Massenet, as well as a production of Suor Angelica by Puccini through Si Parla Si Canta! in Italy. After her graduation from UCSB in December, Terra plans to pursue a master’s degree in music.
