Join members, friends and supporters of the disabled community as we celebrate and raise awareness of people with disabilities in Santa Barbara County.
The Unite For Disability Rights rally on Saturday, April 12, 2025 will begin at 1:00 pm in De la Guerra Plaza, Santa Barbara.
We’ll hear from members of the disability community followed by an invitation to walk up State St. to raise awareness and engage the Santa Barbara community.
We are hoping this rally will remind people that we need to unite to preserve the rights of people with disabilities, rights that were fought for and secured by the Americans with Disabilities Act, a landmark Civil Rights law enacted in 1990. These rights are currently being threatened by the Trump administration.
Disability is the one minority group that ANYONE can join at ANY time, and people with disabilities are represented in EVERY community.
