University of California Master Gardeners of Santa Barbara County announces an online series of gardening classes for true beginners, modeled after the popular World War II Victory Vegetable Gardens. The four classes take attendees through the basics of successful vegetable gardening in our area.
Please join the UC Master Gardeners on four Saturdays from 10 am-12 pm, September 11th, 18th & 25th, and October 2nd.
Topics will include:
· Garden site selection
· Soil preparation
· What to plant when
· Seed starting & transplanting
· And much, much more! Don’t miss this opportunity to become the vegetable gardener you always dreamed about and learn to provide fresh home-grown vegetables for you, your family, and your friends. Participants who complete all four class sessions will receive a Certificate of Completion from the UC Master Gardener Program.
Class size is limited to 40 participants, so please register early. Registration closes on September 3rd.
Cost is Free. If you are able, a $20 voluntary fee is appreciated.
