National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) is seeking public comment on updating the management plan for Channel Islands National Marine Sanctuary. Public meetings will be held in October in Santa Barbara and Ventura.
Meetings are scheduled for 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 22, in the Faulkner Gallery, Santa Barbara Public Library, 40 E. Anapamu St.; and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 23, at Poinsettia Pavilion, 3451 Foothill Road, Ventura.
NOAA’s Office of National Marine Sanctuaries is revising the management plan for Channel Islands National Marine Sanctuary. Public scoping is the first phase of the revision process. The public can comment through Nov. 15 on the scope of Faulkner Gallery, Santa Barbara Public Libraries and programs to be considered within an updated plan. Comments may be submitted online, by mail, or in person at the public scoping meetings.
