The Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History and Audubon Society will join forces Tuesday, January 16  to present “What an Owl Knows: The New Science of the World’s Most Enigmatic Bird (illustrated). Time is 7:30 p.m. at the Fleischmann Auditorium at the Museum.

Presenter Jennifer Ackerman is an award-winning science writer and speaker, and author of the New York Times bestselling books. Her books have earned numerous science and nature writing awards. Chaucer’s Bookstore will have her books available for purchase.

Jennifer gives highly popular illustrated talks and has presented at hundreds of literary and nature festivals. With remarkable photos, videos, and audio recordings, her multimedia presentation will highlight what we have learned lately about the nature of owls- their rich biology and natural history as well as remarkable new scientific discoveries about their brains and behavior.
