In honor of World Osteoporosis Day, this free event will include a brief info session on osteoporosis and a Buff Bones® class with Alexis Pittmon.

Osteoporosis is a worldwide problem. In much of the world, up to one in three women and one in five men 50 and over will suffer an osteoporotic fracture. Osteoporosis causes bones to become weak and fragile so that they break easily. This can happen as a result of a minor fall, bump, sneeze, or a sudden movement. These fractures can be painful, life-threatening and cause long-term disability.

Buff Bones® is a medically-endorsed system of movement for bone and joint health. It leverages bone-strengthening and balance techniques along with Pilates, functional movement, strength training, and therapeutic exercise. Toning your arms, hips, back and abs, the Buff Bones® system also improves posture, is adaptable to varying levels, and is even safe for those with osteoporosis.
