Featuring: Cycling Without Age // Backcountry Bikepacking // BCycle Adventure Days
Cycling Without Age unlocks memories, stories, and vitality as only a bicycle ride can–and it does it for an often overlooked population in our community, our senior citizens. Cycling Without Age began in Denmark in 2012 by Ole Kassow who wanted to help older adults get back on their bicycles, but he had to find a solution to their limited mobility. The answer was a trishaw and he started offering free bike rides to the local nursing home residents. Along with Dorthe Pedersen, he launched Cycling Without Age, which has now spread to another 50 countries around the world. Backcountry Bikepacking Tales will be told to us from local bikepackers (yes, bikepacking, not backpacking), from novice starts to epic treks in the Los Padres National Forest. Come learn about trips that are convenient to access from the South Coast and how to get started.
