The Endowment for Youth Committee (EYC) invites you to an upcoming Zoom event that we are hosting to introduce Dr. Kalyan Balaven (Kal), the incoming Head of Dunn School. Dunn is an independent day and boarding school, serving middle and high school students, located on the Central Coast of California in the Santa Ynez Valley. Students who attend Dunn come from all over the United States and internationally.

Kal comes to us from The Athenian School where he currently serves as Director of Teaching. Kal has an extensive background in whole student education and has a track record of building innovative programs including the Inclusion Dashboard Consortium, a group of some 120 schools, recognized by the National Association of Independent Schools. He also serves on the California Association of Independent Schools Accreditation Board and is a liaison to the Mastery Transcript Consortium. We are looking forward to Kal’s voice and engagement within the education community.

Please help us welcome this thought leader to the Central Coast by joining us for this very special Zoom event which will be live broadcast from the historic Lobero Theater. We are honored to have the visionary founder of Coffee With A Black Guy, James Joyce III, interview Dr. Balaven on the topic of  INCLUSION AS A MODEL FOR A MORE RESILIENT COMMUNITY: A PRIVATE/PUBLIC COLLABORATION.

This virtual community event will take place on Thursday, May 20, 2021, from 5:30-7:00. Please see the attached flyer for more details including the link to register for this event: http://bit.ly/EYCPresentsKalyanBalaven. We look forward to you joining us. Special Thanks to our partners in this event, Dunn School, Montecito Journal, Coffee With A Black Guy, Lobero Foundation and Wealth Management Strategies.
