Construction Framing

SBCC School of Extended Learning, Career Skills Institute

Prepare to enter or re-enter the workforce with this class in residential construction framing (housebuilding). Take as a stand-alone course or as part of the 4-course introduction to residential construction, consecutive 2-week courses in framing, finish carpentry, electrical and plumbing, leading to Certificate. Prepares students for workforce and credit Construction Technology program.

Topics include the framing of floors, walls, ceilings, and roofs, and job site safety.

To obtain the NonCredit Construction Module Certificate, participants must complete a total of four required courses:

(1) Construction Framing

(2) Construction Finish Carpentry

(3) Construction Electrical

(4) Construction Plumbing

Construction Framing takes place on Tuesdays and Thursdays, May 18 to May 27. These classes will be held 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM.
