As our Best of Santa Barbara® issue hit the stands, the Indy team got ready to roll the celebration into the night at Best Fest. The Santa Barbara Historical Museum was lit up with the sun setting on the disco ball as the doors opened, bringing together winners, finalists, runners-up, business owners, decision makers, and you, our readers!

This year, we brought together 600 guests to celebrate the end of our readers’ poll with some of the best food and drinks from around Santa Barbara, dancing to beats by DJ Darla Bea (who celebrated her 10th win), and enjoying entertainment like Live Art Printing from MindGarden, who printed a design from Wilder Animal Hospital, a fancy vintage car from Milpas Motors, and two photobooths with FSU Events. And the fun didn’t stop there — there were also books from Chuacer’s up for grabs and prizes and giveaways from The Closet Trading Co. and The Hall Team.

There was a “flash mob” from World Dance for Humanity, a disco ball dancer from ElectriCirque, and roller skaters who filled up the dance floor with a fun routine. The Spirit and Junior Spirit of Fiesta also joined the party to give a special performance as guests gathered around to cheer them on. The exhibit inside the museum was open, and a bar setup brought the party inside for more drinks and some historic viewing.

The night was full of delicious bites from Renaud’s Patisserie and Bistro, Scarlett Begonia, The Blue Owl, Empty Bowl Gourmet Noodle Bar, Hook & Press, Los Agaves, Brophy Bros., Events By Rincon, and Lilac Pâtisserie. And people were able to grab drinks in their Best Fest Lama Dog cups from The Good Lion and Shaker Mill, Margerum Wine Co., Sunstone Winery, Frequency Wine Co., Validation Ale, Lama Dog, Santo Mezcal, Santa Barbara Cider Co., Third Window Brewing Co., and Wild Tea Leaf Organic Teahouse.

The Indy team had the best night celebrating with you at Best Fest, and we hope you did too!
