Robert Dean Jent
Mr. Jent quietly passed away June 16th, 2008. He was born June 4th, 1925. He grew up in Southern Illinois, and married his childhood sweetheart Helen Marie Arnold. They had two children, Nancy and Larry, and remained in Illinois until 1958 when they moved to California. During his very active life he was an Agricultural Administrator dealing with soil, plants and animals. He also was a driver for Curtiss Candy Co. and worked for Freeman No. Four Mining Co., belonged to the Masonic Lodge & Eastern Stars, supporter of Carpinteria Rainbow Girls, and was a licensed California Pilot.
They moved to Carpinteria where their children graduated from high school, and there Robert became a General Building Contractor and Real Estate Broker. His loves of life included fishing, music, birds, boating and especially flying and basketball.
His most recent years were spent in Ft. Meyers, FL where he was a master clockmaker. He is now at rest in Southern Illinois survived by Helen, Nancy (Santa Barbara, CA) and Larry Jent (Ft. Meyers, FL), Granddaughter Sara Jackman (south Lake Tahoe, CA) and Great Granddaughter Lia Jackman.
