George Boyden

May 11, 1947- February 23, 2010

George Boyden, 62, of Ventura, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, February 23, 2010 with beloved wife, Pam, at his side. George was an amazing husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was a gifted artist, master craftsman, and compassionate musician.

As a young man he spent his time surfing and playing guitar before being drafted. After Vietnam, George worked for CBS studios in special effects. His first child, Sonny, brought him to Santa Barbara where he started California Skateboards out of his garage. After his second child, Sarah, he concentrated on general construction and home building. George was a long-time resident of Santa Barbara before moving to La Conchita, where he lived for over 15 years.

George spent his final days making us all laugh. He will be remembered for his sarcastic sense of humor and crooked smile. He will be deeply missed. Memorial service will be held Thursday, March 4th, at Poinsettia Pavilion, 3451 Foothill Road in Ventura, CA 93003 at 1:30pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to
