Lorenzo Padilla Gutierrez, 60, died January 15, 2011, in his home in Santa Barbara, CA.

He was born September 5, 1950, in Jalostotitlan, Jalisco, Mexico and raised in San Juan de Los Lagos, Jalisco, Mexico to the beloved Ramon and Cecilia Gutierrez. Lorenzo migrated to Santa Barbara at the age of 19 with his father and brother. He was dedicated to working hard to help provide for his family. He later married the love of his life, Juana Gutierrez and raised four wonderful children. He worked at Raytheon, Mentor Corp., Hendry’s and UCSB where he made lifelong friendships. Lorenzo lived life to its fullest. He was always the life of the party and his family was his pride and joy. He was a very talented and hard working man who devoted much of his time to gardening, carpentry, dancing, traveling, writing poems and was very charitable until he passed away at the age 60. He will always be remembered by his smile and his sense of humor.

Lorenzo is survived by his wife, Juana Gutierrez, his children Marissa Gallo, Cecilia Lara, Jaime and Oscar Gutierrez and their spouses Isaias Gallo, Julio Lara and Veronica Gutierrez and his grandchildren Adrian and Angel Gallo, Julian and Samantha Gutierrez, Aiden Lara and his 10 brothers and sisters.
