Erma Helene Sheaha
April 16th, 1920 – June 12th, 2011
On June 12, Erma Helene Sheaha made her transition peacefully, surrounded by loved ones.
Born and raised in Greenville, Michigan, Erma lived life to its fullest every day of her 91 years, always willing to give a hug and reach out to help others in her community. She was a model of unconditional caring and forgiveness.
Active in the Santa Barbara Quilt Guild, Vista Del Monte aquatic exercise classes, the local Danish Sisterhood, and the Red Hatters, she was also deeply appreciated as the matriarch of her Santa Barbara Unity Church community. As a lifelong quilter, crafter, and cross stitch artist, Erma embraced life and the spirit of gifting to others. Erma and her creations will forever be remembered in the hearts, minds, and hands of family and friends, across the United States and Canada. May her spirit find comfort, quilting with the angels on high.
A memorial service will be held at the Santa Barbara Unity Church on Friday, June 24, at 2pm. The service will be followed there by a dessert and finger-food potluck.
