Robert “Bob” Bowman

Robert “Bob” Bowman, 76, peacefully passed away on August 11, 2012, in Santa Barbara, surrounded by his loving family.

Bob was born in Pasadena on July 9, 1936. He graduated from Monrovia Duarte High School to become a successful Building Contractor in the Arcadia area. He later moved to Santa Paula and opened a car wash business.
Upon retirement, he resided in Carpinteria. Bob was deeply loved and cherished by many. The passion he had in sharing his wisdom, humor and love with his family and friends was extraordinary. “Poppy” will be deeply missed by his family, including: his beautiful wife of 55 years, Carole; his four children, Karin (Pat), Ted (Kelley), Shelly (Eric), Bruce (Julie); his thirteen grandchildren; his siblings, Janice, Vicki and Don, and many dear friends.

In lieu of flowers, there will be a fundraiser at Bob’s car wash in Santa Paula on Sept 8, from 9-3. All proceeds will benefit Santa Paula High School sports programs. “Our Poppy” will forever be missed, but never forgotten.
