Robert “Bob” Charles Emmens

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our brother and friend.

Bob Emmens died peacefully at home on January 2, 2013 from heart disease. Bob was born on February 7, 1952 in Santa Barbara to Robert and Beverly Emmens. He was 60.

Bob attended Santa Barbara High School and Santa Barbara City College. In his youth he was a creative and talented actor. After high school he performed in Godspell, a Gazebo Theatre One production that toured the country. He loved music, theatre, reading, radio and sports. He is fondly remembered for his quick wit, humor and feisty spirit. Bob loved Santa Barbara and lived his entire life in his birthplace.

Bob lives on in the hearts of his loved ones. He is survived by his brother Bruce Emmens and his wife Paula Crawford Emmens of Santa Barbara; sister Joye Emmens and her husband David Specter of Ventura; and nephews, Che Emmens, Nick Bonvouloir and Robert Perry Emmens, and great nephew Tristen Emmens.
