Das Introduces Pesticide Bill

Calling air fumigants “some of the most dangerous pesticides on the market,” Assemblymember Das Williams introduced a bill last week that would create a timeline for the state’s Department of Pesticide Regulation (DPR) to adopt mitigation measures for pesticides dubbed “Toxic Air Contaminants.”

ABR Gives Feedback on New Condo Project

Plans to develop a three-story, four-unit condo project near Oak Park by the intersection of De la Vina and Alamar streets ran into some turbulence at the Architectural Board of Review with several neighbors objecting the proposed development would encroach five feet beyond what the city’s front yard setbacks currently allow.

School District Wish List Too Hefty

The Santa Barbara school district’s wish list for capital projects funded by bond Measure Q is about $194.4 million too hefty, according to a report issued by Telacu Construction Management earlier this month.
