Winifred VanDeSteene

Winifred VanDeSteene died on September 12, 2015. Win was the mother of SB resident Cheryl Kelmar, and grandmother of Ryan Johnsen Kelmar. Win raised 3 kids as a single mom on a secretary’s salary while only accepting subsidized housing. Win left behind 3 kids, 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren and her 2nd husband of 20 years. Win met her husband Bob VanDeSteene at her high school reunion at the age of 62 and spent her elder years having fun after raising 3 kids on her own. Thank you to Bob VanDeSteene. Cheryl’s intent is to start the Fund for Single Parents in memory of her mother.
