Joan Leipnik, long-time resident of Santa Barbara/Goleta passed away in peace on Dec. 13th 2017.
She was born on March 3rd, 1926 in San Francisco, and lived a remarkably fruitful and adventurous life.
For over 60 years her and Dr. Roy Leipnik (UCSB Professor of Mathematics) were united in marriage, until his death in 2006.
Joan was an avid world traveler and cyclist. She loved classical music, tennis, hiking, dance and yoga, and would recount her time spent as a fire lookout for the Forestry Service.
