Lillian E. Dell

Lillian E. Dell died recently. She was 97 years old.

Lillian was very active in volunteer work for many years, most notably with the Goleta Valley Cottage Hospital Auxiliary. Besides working the front desk on Monday mornings for many years, she was also a past President of the organization.

Lillian was also a member of the Santa Barbara Women’s Club. Along with being an avid bridge player, she served as a past Grounds Chairperson of the club.

Lillian was involved with Japanese bunka art at The Wake Center for many years. She won a prize at the Santa Barbara County Fair for depiction of a sailing ship.

Born in Chicago, Lillian was a lifelong Cubs fan. She loved gardening.

Lillian is survived by her son, Brian, and by a nephew, a niece, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband of forty-seven years, Ted.

After cremation, internment in the Goleta cemetery will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to:
