Frank Gambetta, 85, passed away Tuesday, August 21, 2018 unexpectedly at his home. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Jackie, son Mark (Kim), daughter Sharon (Mike) Brown, grandchildren Megan, Evan, Grace Gambetta, Paige and Abby Brown, brother Vern (Melissa).

Frank was born in Santa Barbara on July 7, 1933. He graduated from Santa Barbara Catholic High School in 1951. He married his high school sweetheart on September 17, 1955 and three weeks later was drafted and served in the army for two years. He worked as the Director of Special Services for the County of Santa Barbara for 25 years. He then went on to be the managing vice president of the Santa Barbara office of Alexander & Alexander Inc.

Spending time at Lake Nacimiento with his family and friends was a passion Frank passed on to his children and grandchildren. A life-long enthusiast for fast cars and boats, Frank was renowned for having the cleanest cars and boats around! He was an avid golfer who enjoyed his golfing buddies as much as the golf. After Frank’s retirement, he and Jackie enjoyed many travels around the world.

In honor of Frank’s wishes there will be a private service for immediate family only.
