Ronald Charles Sommerfield

Ronald Charles Sommerfield passed away from Parkinson’s Disease in Arroyo Grande on July 13th, 2018. Ron leaves his daughters Monica Jacobson and Renee Crawford, grandchildren Tanner and Zachary Jacobson, Finley and Stella Crawford. Step children Jon Ross and Annette Waugh step grandchildren Taylor and Dillon Waugh and Maizie and Troy Ross. He also leaves two brothers and two sisters.

Ron practiced dentistry in Santa Barbara for 35 years taking an active part in the community in Goleta for many years. After retiring Ron and wife, Rebecca (Becky) Ross moved to Nipomo to enjoy many Years of travel in their motorhome, meeting lots of new friends.

Parkinson’s Disease is a relentless disease and in passing time robs one of their independence , mobility, dignity and in some their memory. The family asks that instead of flowers a donation be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation in Ron’s name.

A service and fellowship to follow will be held on Friday September 14th at 10 am at St. Rafael’s Catholic Church in Santa Barbara, 5444 Hollister Ave. RSVP is appreciated to 805-680-4974.
