Ida Mae Perreault
Ida Mae Perreault went to Heaven on August 31, 2018 at the age of 92 years. She was born in Santa Barbara and enjoyed living here all of her life. In 1944, she married a marine, Clifford J Perreault Sr., and together they raised four children on the Mesa. Ida Mae loved her family, friends, and church and was loved by all in return. After raising her children, she worked for 27 years making salads and many new, young friends at La Cumbre Jr. High and San Marcos High School. She was also a member of the Altar Society at Holy Cross Church for many years. In recent years, she enjoyed baking. She never missed an opportunity to bake for friends and family. She will always be remembered for her beautiful, delicious cakes.
Ida was preceded in death by her parents, Isabel and William De la Torre, her husband, Cliff, and her son-in-law, Terry Higgins. She is survived by her four children: Michelle Smith (Richard), Francine Higgins, Clifford Perreault Jr, and Joseph Perreault, by her ten grandchildren: Jeremiah Higgins, Jennifer Higgins, Jamie Higgins, Sarah (Smith) Mantsch, Ryan Perreault, Jonathan Smith, Patrick Perreault, Hannah (Smith) Street, Matthew Perreault, and Tessa Perreault, and by her three great-grandchildren: Ella Higgins, Jacob Mantsch, and Olivia Mantsch.
There will be a Celebration of Life Mass, with reception following, on Saturday, September 22, at 11:30 am at Holy Cross Church, 1740 Cliff Drive in Santa Barbara.
