Sonja Lane, long time Santa Barbara resident, passed away suddenly on August 18 while camping near Santa Fe, New Mexico.

At her side when she passed was Jace Miller, her close companion of 40 years, with whom Sonja often travelled, under sail and by road, exploring the American southwest and Mexico. Sonja is survived by a sister in Santa Barbara, and extended family in Germany.
