John Whitney Tustin

John Tustin lived and went to school here in Santa Barbara. He graduated Santa Barbara High 1973. John lived in Mammoth in the winter and Hawaii in the summer. John was also a surfboard maker (Tustin Surfboards). Surfing was his lifestyle. John was also an avid skier. He worked for Mammoth Mt. Ski Patrol with his good friend Terry Shutt. One could say John lived a full life. In his younger years John would go on to surf all of California and Mexico Coastline with his friend Tim. This includes The Big Swell of Dec 1969 when Rincon was 30 ft.

There will be a gathering of friends and Potluck at Ledbetter Park Saturday 10 am Nov 10th, 2018. All friends are invited to attend.

Right now John is surfing the waves in the clouds!
