Matthew Daniel Flett

Matthew Daniel Flett arrived in the world unexpectedly on March 8, 1983 attached to his identical twin brother and surprised everyone in the delivery room including his parents and the doctor. He left just as unexpectedly on December 17, 2018 when he passed away peacefully in his sleep. Matt grew up in Santa Barbara and attended Cleveland Elementary School, Santa Barbara Junior High and Dos Pueblos High School. He attended community colleges in Vancouver, Washington and Santa Cruz California. Matt was a prankster, a joker and a comedian, he loved to see people laugh. There was also a tender loving side he showed when he was with his children. Matt was a devoted dad to his son Matthew and daughter Cadence who live in Salinas CA. with their mother Sarah. He was so proud of being an identical twin to Mike Flett and was close to his older brother Obie Flett. He leaves behind a nephew Donovan, a niece Lily, Aunt Judy and many cousins. Matt and his brothers and their families spent time at the beach or camping, going to concerts and hanging with friends. He found great personal satisfaction the last four years employed at Grid Careers as a recruiter. His last residence was Ventura CA. His father Robert Flett II and his mother Kathryn Silveria ask that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the gofundme.com/mattflettskids account our family set up for his children. All proceeds will go directly to his children and their mother Sarah. Currently there are no plans for a service.
