Peter G.”Bud” Moens passed on April 21, 2019. He was born June 24, 1930 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, the first son of Frank and May Moens, one of 5 children.

He attended school in Grand Rapids, he spent 4 years in the U.S Navy, 2 years in Boston and 2 years aboard the Franklin D. Roosevelt and was Honorably Discharged in 1951.

After graduating from Coyne Electrical School in Chicago, he moved to Wyoming in 1953, and was employed by Well’s Music Co. as a radio and T.V. technician for 8 years, before moving to Casper Electronics for 6 years. In 1953, he also married Darline M. Henderson of Midwest, Wy in the First Presbyterian Church of Casper, Wy.

In 1961, he established Bud’s TV Inc, and operated his business for 25 years before retiring in 1986. Bud and Darline lived in Casper for 60 years before moving to Goleta, CA in 2013.

Bud loved his family, gardening, fishing and cherry pie. Baseball was his favorite sport and he coached little league for 8 years. He was also a volunteer driver for the DAV Van to Cheyenne every Friday for 10 years helping other veterans.

He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #42, Eastern Star, Rainbow Chapter in Casper and the Santa Barbara Masonic Lodge #159.

Bud was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, three sisters, both of his sons, Gordon and Bruce. He is survived by his wife of 65 years Darline, two daughters Brenda Petersen and her husband Glenn Petersen, Linda Glover and her husband Tony Glover. Grandchildren: Erika, Kevin, Jory, Sarah, Alex and Nikolas and Great grandchildren: Lia, Logan and Brodie.
