Glenn was a kind, calm, gentle man. He was a brilliant, successful engineer with a multitude of patents. He was also an audiophile, a talented photographer and most importantly to him, a good father.

When our first daughter sat on his lap and chanted, “Da Da, ah my dadda” he just melted and asked, “What have I done to deserve this? He said this again as he laughed and jostled his robust newborn son and when his second daughter looked at him adoringly, as well as, many other times during his interactions with his children.

He was an involved father. He helped Natalie with Algebra and in building projects she dreampt up. He participated with Brett’s Boy Scouts and helped Brett get and train a dog and together, they went to the “doggy party” at the park. He had many special conversations and picnics with Lisa and he introduced her to the fun of Science fiction. We all remember his sharing the joy of music and how we danced around the living room to the Stones and other music.

Glenn supported his three children in whatever their interest or goal. He just wanted to instill good values and he was very proud of Natalie, Brett and Lisa. They all felt his love. His family and his rescue dog Stella surrounded him with comfort and love.

Glenn would have been 73 on June 29. We all miss him and had hoped to enjoy his company for many more years. We thank his cancer team at UCSF and the Ridley Tree Center for giving as much time with him as possible and Lisa got to tell him that he would soon become a grandfather.
