Jack D. Romero

It’s with great sadness and heavy heart to announce the passing of Jack D. Romero. Known as “General Jack” He passed at home on November 5,2020 surrounded by his loving family, He was born and raised in Santa Barbara, Attended SBHS, And was a dedicated DON’S Fan. ONCE A DON ALWAYS A DON. Jack is survived by his wife Marie Romero of 54 Years. Daughter’s Tammy Vargas(Joe Vargas) Elizabeth Romero (Jose Guerra) Grandkids Amber Verduzco(Juan Verduzco) Briana Vargas (Edgar Quirino) Daniel Vega, Adriana Vega.

Jack’s Family was involved in Native Son’s and Native Daughter’s. Jack was a Presidio Soldier with Soldado de Los Soldados de Presidio of Santa Barbara for many years.

He was quite the jokester at Family Gatherings and loved blowing his whistle on the dance floor. He loved making people laugh.We never knew if he was joking or serious. The King of Jokesters will be truly missed. Services will be November 30th,2020 at Calvary Catholic Cemetery@ 1pm Wear a mask and social distance.
