Randy passed away Wednesday, May 12, 2021 after a long, courageous battle with cancer.

He is survived by his wife Linda, son Trent, wife Thida; daughter Shelly, husband Kimani; granddaughters Kayalin, Klio and Everest; niece Meghan Posch-Povey, husband Marc, and daughters Ella and Scarlett. Also many relatives in Summerland, Cleveland, OH and Nashville, TN.

Randy was a graduate of Carpinteria High School, earned a bachelor’s degree in music at CA State-Hayward college, and was a Navy Veteran having served 4 years in the Vietnam War. He worked many years in local water districts, with his last 27 years as general manager at El Capitan Mutual Water Company where he was known to ride through the rolling hills on his ATV with his chocolate lab, Latti.

His true passion and callings were as a musician and artist. He played the saxophone and flute for many bands which graced the stages of the Bay Area and Santa Barbara over the years. He also played the guitar and other instruments, which he taught to his family and was known to start a jam session for any occasion. He was a thoughtful and creative man whose drawings and paintings reflected the beauty of the world as he saw it, and also were a way for him to share his love with those most important to him.

A Graveside Celebration of Life will be held at the Carpinteria Cemetery, Saturday, May 22, 2021 at 12:30 pm.

He is loved by many and will be deeply missed, always.
