Malik Dion Harris Ellis was born on January 22, 1993, in San Jose California to La Faria Ellis and Tanisha Harris.
He was 12 years old when he moved to Santa Barbara with his Grandmother Joyce Rance.He attended La Cumbre Junior High, Santa Barbara High School, Dos Pueblos High School and Santa Barbara City College.He loved football and excelled as a running back who played for the SB Dons and the DP Chargers.
Malik was multi-talented and enjoyed various forms of art.
As a culinary artist, he was a master chef in Southern Cuisine. He loved to fry chicken, pork chops, make collard greens, cornbread and BBQ. He was a natural athlete who played most sports with little effort. His athlete abilities were wide range and included acrobatics, gymnastics, football, basketball, biking, hiking, skateboarding and swimming. Malik had a gentle soul and had love for all animals.He was a great dog whisperer. In addition, he was a gifted Barber who brought delight to his clients, friends and family with unique haircuts. Malik was an incredibly hard worker and enjoyed his job as a roofer. He helped family and his Church with improvement projects.He was a natural poet, comedian and freestyle rapper who blessed others with the word of God and his testimony. Malik accepted Jesus as the Lord of his life as a youth at South Coast Church.
In Loving Memory, Malik leaves his Parents: La Faria Ellis and Tanisha Harris Five Sisters: Ashley; Leandra; Kim; DaZhane and Tasia. Two Brothers: Marquel and Khalil and one Nephew, Kaenan His Maternal Grandmother, Joyce Rance A Host of Aunts and Uncles along with a multitude of cousins, relatives and friends.
The family gratefully acknowledges the many kind deeds and comforting expressions of sympathy extended during this period of bereavement.
