Noelia (Castaneda) Hernandez

Noelia Rosario (Castaneda) Hernandez who was a daughter, wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother,  and friend, passed away on February 20, 2022, she was 63 years old. Noelia was born January 17, 1959  in El Paso, Texas. She later moved to Santa Barbara, CA. A graduate from Santa Barbara High School,  she then went on to work at Applied Magnetics, and Raytheon. Noelia married Carlos Hernandez, and  had four daughters. She is preceded in death by her father, Arturo Castaneda, and brother Arturo  Castaneda, Jr. She is survived by her mother, Alma Estrada, her sisters, Alma (Mike) Romero, Laura  (Ramon) Gutierrez, Monique Hernandez, brother, Marc (Alma) Castaneda, daughters Noel (Stanley) Figueroa, Jessica (Colin) Quirt, Briana Hernandez, Crystal Hernandez, granddaughters Sienna, Mia,  Seleste, grandson Sonny, nieces Amanda, Jacqueline, Tatiana, nephews Richard, Arturo, Andre, Daniel (Brittany), Isaac, and Erik, great nephew, Teddy Issac, her dog Violet (her favorite child), countless  cousins, and close friends. 

Noelia was known to have a heart of gold, and always put loved ones first before herself, even if it  meant that she stayed with nothing. This is how selfless, and beautiful she was on the inside and out.  We will always have fond memories of her, and we continue to pray for you Noelia that you have found  peace, and you are again reunited with relatives, and friends in Heaven. You have left our lives, but you  will never leave our hearts. 

We wanted to give a special thanks to Noelia’s doctors, and Sarah House for all of their support.  A church Mass will be held at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 21 E. Sola St, Santa Barbara, CA on March 10, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, 199 N. Hope Ave,  Santa Barbara, CA.
