Laverne Trilby Lunde

Laverne Trilby Lunde, age 83, passed away March 22, 2022. Born July 10, 1938, in Enderlin, North Dakota, she was the daughter of Vernell and Hazelle Siebert. She married David John Lunde, and he preceded her in death. She is also preceded in death by daughter Andra Lia Lunde Padrichelli.

Laverne was a resident of Enderlin, North Dakota, Cambridge, Wisconsin, Goleta, California, and Cincinnati Ohio. In Cambridge she was a member of Grace Lutheran Church. In Goleta she was a member and music director of Christ Lutheran Church. Laverne was an accomplished musician. She graduated from Concordia College in Minnesota with a Bachelor’s in Music Performance. Although her degree was for violin performance, she was also a member of the esteemed Concordia College Choir. She toured Europe and Scandinavia during her time with the choir. Over the course of her life, she inspired many musicians, young and old. A masterful accompanist, teacher and performer, Laverne always amazed people with her ease and creative musicianship. She took great pride in leading both of her daughters into successful careers as musicians as well.

Laverne is survived by her daughter, Mari Lunde; grandchildren Kieren Thomas, Lia Thomas, Olivia Thomas; Son-in-Law Lorenzo Padrichelli; grandchildren David Padrichelli and Sirio Padrichelli; sister Elsie Inselman and neice Rachel Inselman; neice Sue Jimenez and nephew John Braaten. Laverne spent the final year of her life in Cincinnati, OH surrounded by family. She enjoyed every season and every family celebration in their company.
