It is with heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing on Ellen Meinzer Turner on January 6, 2025. Ellen was born in Germany to Emil and Elise Meinzer on July 12, 1937. She was blessed with many fond memories of her German childhood and continued to have close connections with family & friends living in her birth country.

In 1957 she married the love of her life, Army Soldier Jack Turner. In 1965 the two moved to United States and eventually relocated to Goleta California where they raised their three sons, Michael, Eric and Paul. Family was very important to Ellen as well as her love of art. Besides being a dress designer, she was well known in the community as a stained-glass artist. She sold her creations at the Yes Store in Santa Barbara for over 25 years.

Ellen is survived by her sons Eric (Diane) and Paul, along with 7 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Jack (2004), her oldest son Michael (2024), as well as her parents, brother and wife, Ted & Liz Meinzer, and niece Stephanie.

Following a private family service Ellen will be buried alongside her husband at the Santa Barbara Cemetery. She will remain in our hearts forever.
