Nancy Ann (Kientzler) Minton
Born September 2, 1933 in Santa Barbara, graduated Peabody 1945, SBHS 1951, UCSB 1955 the first class on the Goleta campus. Passed April 22, 2025 after a 6 month respiratory illness.
Worked for Boeing in Seattle, then Anaconda Copper as a school teacher in Chile for two years, and toured most of South America. Nancy worked for the State of California for two decades.
She met Ben F. Minton in San Francisco, married in 1963 and have three children: Coral, Laurel, Gavin. Gavin married Alice and gave Nancy two grandchildren: Lucas and Jackson.
Nancy and Ben moved to the Kientzler family home in Santa Barbara in 2014 after living in the same house in San Lorenzo (SF East Bay) for 49 years, traveling between each.
Travel was a passion taking Nancy at different times to Tibet, India and the Trans Siberian railway across the USSR. Nancy and Ben travelled much of the world .
Nancy and Ben were members of the Santa Barbara Horticulture Society and the Santa Barbara Cactus and Succulent Society, and subscribed to many SB art venues.
Nancy deserves a place with the beautiful souls who lived well, did their best, achieved much and are much loved.
